His partner, Disturbed, driven by Robert Trowbridge, also out of South Haven, didn’t have a great pull either. Luckily, Broughton got out of his tractor quickly as the flames were extinguished. His tractor burst into flames in the middle of his pull. The six driver was Sid Broughton out of South Haven, Michigan and driving Desperado started off great for the first 50-yards or so. His partner, GALOT (Get A Load Of This) pulled first and just over 314-feet, out of Hamilton, Ohio. It was the second tractor that ended up winning it all.Ī John Strickland driven GALOT II (Get A Load Of That) won the pull with 344-feet and some change out of Clinton, North Carolina. It featured just six tractors from Ohio, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Michigan. In the third class, the Super Stock Open brought an incredible pull and a fire on a tractor. The 21-year old Brady Ferris from Addison, Michigan was happy to take home first place as he high-fived his friends and crew once the last pull was under 300-feet, securing him the victory.Ī few tractors in this class broke down, some with engine failures, one with a busted wheel and another with a broken crank. Most were pulling past 300-feet, a couple lagged under that mark, but it was the winner, Absolutely Nuts, that pulled just over 321-feet. In the second class, Super Farm, is where things got really interesting, and long. The runner up ended up being Ken Miller from Bellevue, Ohio, who drove the Corn & Soybean Special with a pull of 329-feet. It was Raptor and Alan Judy from Germantown, Ohio that grabbed top spot with a pull of 338-feet and some change. In the first class, the Modified class brought in six competitors from Ohio and Indiana. On Friday night, it wasn’t that way as a few pullers needed a little bit more. Some of the plus surpassed 340-feet, which usually grabs a puller a win on any given night. In front of a packed crowd in the grandstands, the pulls brought some great competition out on Friday night.įour different classes clashed on the dirt track, where some competitors were calling it the best track they’ve raced on all season.
